Forward- “onward so as to make progress; toward a successful conclusion.” Motion-”the action or process of moving or being moved.”
How do you get from point A to point B? Forward motion. How do you get from one level to the next? Forward motion. Favor is found in forward motion. Forward motion requires action.
Action, massive action, is what puts you in the position for favor. Let’s look at a (very possible) scenario…
The economy fluctuates up, then down, then up again, and finally takes a plunge. Everyone around you is freaking out because they don’t know what their next step is going to be. But you? Nah…you’re not freaking out. Wanna know why? Because you prepared for this. You prepared by continually moving forward. You took and continued action when things were up and now you can continue taking action, even when things are down. The kicker is, you now find yourself in a position of favor within your market because while everyone else is cowering in the corner unsure of what to do, you continue to move. You continue to take action. You have the disciplines and systems in place to provide what the client needs. You are making moves that count.
I always say, “Action takers are the money makers.” If you want to make money, if you want to find yourself in positions of favor, then you must act. Talking, dreaming, and goal-setting are not enough. Forward motion paired with those things will get you where you want to go.
Sometimes you have to jump, and jump BIG. Make moves that set you up in the forefront of your market. Don’t get trapped in small thinking. Take the massive leap and believe in yourself and your product/service. Continue moving forward and taking risks. This will make a statement to both your potential clients and your competition.
Walt Disney said it best, “Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious … and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
