5 Key Indicators of a Negative Person

What’s up, I’m Coach Carroll and today, I’m going to teach you how to tune your mind into listen for key indicators of a negative person. Now, their reason for being negative, you know, may not matter on the task at hand, but what you need to identify and listen for are things like this:

  • I don’t have the sufficient education to accomplish the task at hand…
  • I don’t have the money for that. 
  • I don’t have the influence for that. 
  • I’m not sure how to do it. 
  • I’m not sure where to start. 

It doesn’t matter what their response is. The negative mindset versus a positive mindset is like in the most inner parts of our mind, it comes from that fight or flight method that you may have been taught in fifth grade, right? Like when we were walking through the woods as these primitive hunter-gatherers, and we heard a twig snap over the distance, and we’re like, “What’s that?”  It only took a couple of our ancestors going, “I don’t know, let’s go see”,  and they get eaten by a T-Rex for us to go, “Hey, we hear twigs snapping. We’re going the opposite direction.” 

It’s the same thing with negativity. When you’re around people that have this “can’t-do attitude” versus a “can-do attitude”, that’s when you really need to kind of like put your sonar on because you can’t, you just can’t be in those types of environments. People hate this ’cause I’ve cut some of my family members off for it. People are like, “DJ, that’s terrible. You cut your own family off?” I’m like, listen, if they’re going to be negative, if they’re just going to try to mooch off of me and you know, every time I get around them, it just brings me down, I don’t need to be around those types of people. 

You have the capacity to know what you want and to know how to get it. Even though you may not know where to start, okay. I always say that your past doesn’t determine where you go, it merely determines where you start. Again here they are, I don’t have the sufficient education, right? The knowledge base, but hey, guess what? That’s only one Google search away or one YouTube search away. If you need sales, send them to old Coach Carroll, over here, I’ll help them out. People that don’t have the money. Listen, you don’t have to have the money. You just gotta be able to figure out how to find the people that do. If you don’t have the influence, it’s the same thing. Get around the people that do have the influence or better yet, maybe you need to look back on yourself and say, are you doing everything that could achieve you that influence? Are you dressing nice? Are you speaking clearly? Are you hanging out with the people you should be hanging out with? Otherwise you could be sabotaging yourself. 

And then the last two is, hey, I’m not sure how to do it, or I’m not sure where to start.  Start where you are, man. That’s the best advice I can give anyone. A lot of times people will send us messages on Instagram, will send us messages on Facebook, or send me an email. And they’ll be like, Hey Coach, this is my whole situation. You know, I’m not sure if I should get started in this thing or not. And my answer is always, if you’re passionate about it, do it. Now again, I’ve got another video on the channel. I can’t remember the title of it, but I talk about an idea isn’t good unless it cash flows. That’s so true because you know, I see too often, people like try to start a business out of a hobby and then that hobby doesn’t make any money. And then not only are you broke, but now you hate your hobby. It’s just a double edged sword and it’s a lose, lose situation. You don’t want to be in that situation, but if you can stay positive and you can kind of tune your mind into hearing these things, when people start moaning about, Oh, I don’t have enough money or, oh man, wouldn’t that be nice if I could do that. I’m just not capable of doing that. Don’t limit yourself. Don’t put limits on your own capacity and be fearful or mindful at least of other people that do. So hopefully this helps you avoid those negative people.
