Do you find yourself driving all over town from appointment to appointment…stuck in traffic, burning gas and wasting your most prized resource while looking through a windshield?
I’m going to give you two tips to help you set more appointments and cut down on drive time.
Once you follow these four steps (here) and book your appointment, quickly Google potential clients (industry specific) who could use your services in the area.
Then, go to the map section, which will pull up several results:
I highlighted the results to make them stand out more for this blog. Normally the results will be identified by the red dot next to the listing’s name.
From there, you can click on the red dot. This will do two things. First, it will drop a pin showing which result’s info it’s pulling up. Then, it will show the information for the result in the top left-hand corner of the screen. This info will include the address and phone number of the result, providing the information you need to go forward with setting an appointment.
This ties directly into a sales tactic we call a soft intro. A soft intro is using a third-party name or business to introduce yourself to a new prospect. For instance, you might say something like this on the intro call to the decision maker of Glenbrook Park if you had an appointment with the property across the street:
“I will be over at Green Meadows Apartments next Wednesday morning to discuss ____________________ on their property with John, the manager. I noticed your property was nearby and figured I would offer to stop by and take a look at your site for you while I was in the area.”
This carries much more weight than simply making a cold call to pitch the prospect. It buys you stock because the person on the other end of the line is thinking, “Well, if John at Green Meadows trusts them, I might as well too.”
Now, this isn’t going to work every time, but it will certainly increase your chances and swing the percentage in your favor!
Use these two tips together to increase efficiency and revenue, and decrease your drive time between appointments! With more time, you will be able to work on even more revenue-producing activities!
